History The manor rooms surrounding the chapel were originally built in 1450, housing the mayor as he made legal rulings and settled village disputes. The building was then transformed in 1880 into an orphanage and school by local monks. In 2013 it was officially renamed and restored to its former glory whilst incorporating some modern flair into the design.
