The Conservatory is idyllically set in the historic, Grade I-listed Painshill Park, within stunning walled gardens. Surrounded by 18th-century landscaped grounds, including the River Mole, a Chinese Bridge, Gothic Temple and the magical Crystal Grotto, not to mention the immaculate lawns, this permanent marquee and structure can host resplendent ceremonies and receptions.

Besides its natural beauty, another great strength of the venue is its ability to accommodate and cater for a wide range of sizes and types of celebration. Able to seat up to 320 guests for large formal events, it's ideal for large-scale festivities such as Asian, Caribbean or Jewish weddings. The Conservatory at Painshill is also licensed to host civil ceremonies with up to 200 guests.

Idyllically set within a Grade I-listed, 18th-century landscaped garden, it should come as no surprise that this venue basks in plenty of history. Work began on the gardens in 1738, and was carried out under the direct auspices of MP Charles Hamilton.

Showcasing a natural landscape, and featuring plenty of trees sent over from Philadelphia by the naturalist John Bartram, the gardens were originally open only to 'respectable' visitors, who would be shown around by the head gardener for a modest tip.

Besides the breathtaking landscape, the Painshill gardens are home to a number of cute romantic architectural features, such as the Gothic Temple and Tower, the Waterwheel, the Chinese Bridge, Ruined Abbey and Crystal Grotto, to mention just a few.

The Conservatory itself is the permanent, high-quality marquee structure found in the Grade II-listed walled gardens at the east end of the park. It has its own raised deck area which leads out onto the pristine lawns, allowing guests to wander and mingle.

The space is able to seat up to 320 guests for a formal event, but is flexible enough to be 'reduced in size' to accommodate more intimate wedding days. The Conservatory is also licensed for civil ceremonies and can seat up to 200 for such a purpose.

Civil Ceremony Capacity - 200 Guests
Formal Reception Capacity - 320 Guests
