The Chase Hotel is named after the hill, which was the hunting grounds of The Bishop of Hereford in the Medieval times. The building dates back to the 17th century when it was under the ownership of John Griffiths, and later owned by Attorney Century, John Cooke, in the early 19th century.
John Cooke rebuilt the mansion in 1818 to its Georgian grandeur, which is still featured throughout the venue today. Since then, the venue has been enlarged and expanded and in 1927, John Brawn converted the property into the remarkable hotel that now stands.
This is the largest licensed room and features elegant décor and furnishings. The room is bathed in natural sunlight with direct access onto a large terrace, offering fantastic views of the hotel grounds.
