History

The Arden Hotel itself dates back to the mid-17th Century, however the site on which it stands has an evening deeper historical significance.

It was built on the foundations of Brooke House, the house of John Shakespeare, William Shakespeare's father. The playwright himself was reputed to have written some of his works in its gardens, which have been re-created in the Arden Hotel's grounds.

Today the hotel is a modern and stylish boutique, having undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment funded by the Royal Shakespeare Company. It has gathered a reputation for excellence, picking up accolades for its services and catering expertise.

Small and Intimate Package - from £89 per person

This includes a three course wedding feast, a dedicated wedding co-ordinator, a Feature room for the Bride and Groom, choice of location for pre-dinner drinks and 50% off your return stay on your first anniversary.

Afternoon Tea Package - from £41 per person

This option provides a full Afternoon Tea, a Champagne or Pimm's drinks reception, private use of the Club Bar and terrace and complimentary menu tasting for the Bride and Groom.

Cocktail and Light Bites Package - from £49 per person

This offers private use of the Brooke Suite, Club Bar and top terrace all day, as well as a complimentary cocktail tasting, wide buffet selection, tea and coffee service and Champagne for the toast.

Exclusive Use Package - from £10,720

This includes 24 hour use of the hotel and grounds, a complimentary wine and menu tasting, a three course wedding feast, 45 individually styled bedrooms for your guests and a wedding co-ordinator.

Catering

The top-quality catering team will assist you in creating a mouth watering wedding feast. They can create this completely bespoke to you, and recommend a range of dishes such as Roast Beef Medallion with truffle mash, or Parma Ham Wrapped Chicken Breast.

Their excellence precedes them, and they have recently won two AA rosettes awards. Their fantastic No 44 Brasserie on The Waterside has also recently been updated and offers a stylish and relaxing hang-out in which to enjoy delicious food and small plates.
