Originally opened in 1830, Victoria Park is a truly stunning green haven within the beautiful World Heritage City of Bath. In 2013, specific areas of the park were granted licences for civil wedding ceremonies to take place. The amazing Grade II-listed wrought-iron Bandstand, just south of Royal Crescent, offers particularly enjoyable and relatively unusual surroundings for tying the knot.

Think of the Bandstand as an outdoor wedding ceremony venue, as that is essentially what it is. The Bandstand is able to seat 35 guests on its lawn - absolutely perfect for fair weather conditions, but also fine for poorer conditions if your guests bring umbrellas!

The Royal Victoria Park was laid out in 1830 and opened by the Duchess of Kent with her daughter, Princess (soon to be Queen) Victoria, and it was the country's inaugural municipal park. The Bandstand itself dates to 1887, constructed by Major Charles Davis to a rather unusual design, with acoustics firmly in mind.

Directly aligned to the centre of Royal Crescent, the Bandstand lies due south of this fascinating historic architectural landmark.

Today the Bandstand is still enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, with brass bands and other forms of live music a regular feature.

As an outdoor venue, Royal Victoria Park Bandstand is ideal for fair weather conditions. It seats up to 35 guests with chairs laid out on the lawn. Bask in the glory of Victoria Park - get married in front of your family, your friends and even the general public!

If the weather does look like it might misbehave, some couples have previously provided umbrellas, or even changed the venue for their ceremony to the Botanical Gardens' Temple of Minerva. Ceremony hire ('Copper Beech' Package) from £625 to £650.

You can also host your reception in Victoria Park! An area near the Bandstand can be reserved for your marquee or structures. Parts of the Botanical Gardens can also be hired for receptions.

The maximum capacity of the park for receptions is 100 guests. Reception hire ('Silver Maple' Package) from £1,520 to £1,800.
