Ceremonies and wedding breakfasts can be held within the impressive Gallery. You will exchange vows and enjoy your first meal as a married couple while surrounded by beautiful paintings and statues. History

Over the years, Ranger's House has been occupied by many different people. First, the house was built by an admiral but, after he sadly died at sea, Ranger's went on to be occupied by royalty! In the mid-18th century, Philip 4th Earl of Chesterfield became one of the most prominent residents of the house. His love of art led him to build the Gallery, in which he displayed many valuable paintings. Now, that Gallery makes an elegant and sophisticated wedding venue.

The Facilities

When holding your wedding at Ranger's House you will find one beautiful indoor space for your ceremony plus a secluded walled Garden for your reception drinks. In cold or wet weather, the impressive Stone Hall and Ranger's Room make perfect indoor reception areas while the Gallery is being prepared for your wedding breakfast.

The Gallery

This beautiful room was built by Philip, 4th Earl of Chesterfield, to house his collection of stunning paintings. Today, the Gallery still contains a range of gorgeous statues and paintings. Beautiful bay windows fill the room with light, illuminating the elegant wooden floors and exquisite antique furnishings.

The Gallery is usually used for ceremonies, after which guests enjoy reception drinks within another area of Ranger's House. During these post-ceremony celebrations, the staff can prepare the Gallery for your wedding breakfast.

Alternatively, the Gallery can be used for reception drinks.
