History In the 16th century, the St John family built a large farmhouse on their lands at Norton Park, near Winchester. It was further developed in the 19th century, when it became Norton Manor as we know it. It contains all of the typical features of a manor house; an orangery, glasshouses and two walled gardens. The stables, which still stand today, were built in the late nineteenth or early twentieth century. It was then restored in the early 20th century by Mr Hampton and served as the family home for Mr and Mrs Willis until 1980. Since then, it has been converted to a commercial venture, and now operates as Norton Park Hotel.
