The current Walton Hall has existed since the 18th century, however parts of the building date back to when it was first owned by the Lastrange family in 1541. Later in 1858, architect Sir George Gilbert Scott designed a new mansion house in the Gothic Revival style.
The Georgian manor house and chapel that stand today were built by Sir Charles Mordaunt in the mid-18th century where he and his family lived. The building went through a variety of uses and finally was used as a family home in the 1970s until it was bought by entertainer Danny LaRue who converted it into a hotel.
