Matthew O'Connor has always been totally immersed in the absorbing field of music, studying, playing and composing (both professionally and for fun) for over 25 years.

Beyond his growing reputation as an excellent tutor, he is a member of the renowned Bristol Music Club in Clifton and the Bristol Piano Club, and is proud to have played at amazing venues such as Bristol Cathedral, The Lord Mayor's Mansion and Merchants Hall – not to mention the fact he is one of the pianists at a number of high-profile hotels.

Matthew was recently awarded a Diploma in Performance with the London College of Music, submitting his compositions for TV, Film and Radio Library Music Companies, and has even recorded and mastered his very own debut Ambient Electronica album.

Repertoire

One of Matthew's principal assets is his ability to play a wide range of musical styles.

He's played the keyboard with various bands during the 1990s, whose styles ranged from Rock and Pop, to Britpop, House, and even Psyche Rock. This is a testament to his eclectic and accomplished repertoire.

Being classically trained, he can also read music fluently, enabling him to interpret a broad range of musical scores with ease.

Matthew is happy to perform during any aspect of your wedding day. Imagine gliding down the aisle to his soft sounds, or enjoy his beautiful music during the drinks reception. Adapting to a range of environments, he is happy to accommodate you, your musical preferences and your type of wedding venue.

His prices start from as little as £150, depending on how long you would like him to pay for. Typically his performance time is a two to three hour set.
