Unusually, it can&nbsp;come about that one set of twins in fact marries another set of twins!<\/p>\n\n\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/images.wedding-planning-secret.com\/posts\/doublewedding\/2.jpg\" alt=\"Twins who marry twins\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, we can consider that this may only be natural as they could be attracted to the same features, characteristics and personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet it&#8217;s still an unusual phenomenon. There are approximately 250 recorded marriages of identical twins to identical twins, and there could certainly be more that are unrecorded!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In some ways, this does make the wedding celebrations even more exciting and unique, especially if the twins have a double ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/images.wedding-planning-secret.com\/posts\/doublewedding\/1.jpg\" alt=\"Twins who marry twins\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Fascinated by this phenomenon and of course all things weddings, we&#8217;ve explored some real life stories. Have a read of the following twins who married twins below to find out more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Diane And Darlene Marry Craig And Mark<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When identical twin sisters Diane and Darlene Nettemeier met identical twin brothers Craig and Mark Sanders in 1998, they could never have imagined that the twosomes wouldn&#8217;t stop there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The twin siblings met each other at a twin festival in Twinsburg, Ohio. After catching Mark\u2019s eye across the hotel lobby, they were delighted to learn that he too, was a twin. He subsequently introduced them to his brother Craig, and luckily the siblings fell for different partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/images.theweddingsecret.co.uk\/magazine\/inspire-me\/twins-who-marry-twins\/beautiful-blur-bridal-256737.jpg\" alt=\"Twins who marry twins\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The four started dating. They often went on double dates and they consequently got engaged on the same day! The twins married at a joint ceremony with the girls&#8217; father, Mr Nettermeier, walking down the aisle with a daughter on each arm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following this, the couples moved to Texas and built a pair of homes, side by side, with an adjoining back garden!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soon afterwards,\ndespite a million-to-one odds, Diane and Craig gave birth to identical twins of\ntheir own \u2013 Colby and Brady.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/images.theweddingsecret.co.uk\/magazine\/inspire-me\/real-weddings\/Twins%20who%20married%20twins\/twins-who-married-twins-01.jpg\" alt=\"Twins who marry twins\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Darlene and Mark have also had children. Although the children from both sets of parents officially have the title of first cousins, they actually have DNA similar to that of siblings!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lets break this down for you. Identical twins share exactly the same genetic material because they come from the same egg and sperm, (however fraternal twins are conceived from two separate eggs). Consequently, although the children of the two couples have entirely different parents, they may as well be siblings because their DNA would be so similar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>When Ginna And Gaylen Met Erich And Nicholas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ginna and Gaylen\nGlasscock, both 22, started dating Erich and Nicholas Schmidt, both 23, during\ntheir freshman year at Abilene Christian University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sight of two\nsets of identical twins dating each other caused some giggles from the student\nbody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But Gaylen knew Nicholas was the one \u2013 and Ginna knew Erich was the one. Shortly after their first kisses both girls felt fireworks. As a result, both knew they were paired with the right twin&#8230;phew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/images.theweddingsecret.co.uk\/magazine\/inspire-me\/twins-who-marry-twins\/bride-cake-ceremony-2226.jpg\" alt=\"Twins who marry twins\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Gaylen said she and\nNicholas are more goal-oriented and outspoken while Ginna and Erich are laid\nback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After three years of dating, Nicholas and Erich both proposed to their girlfriends on October 27<sup>th&nbsp;<\/sup>and they both married on 23<sup>rd<\/sup> June 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pairs of twins\nstarted their quaternary marriage with a joint wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/images.theweddingsecret.co.uk\/magazine\/inspire-me\/twins-who-marry-twins\/elen-aivali-757477-unsplash.jpg\" alt=\"Twins who marry twins\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Gaylen and Nicholas married at four in the afternoon in a yellow-themed ceremony, whereas Ginna and Erich tied the knot at half past five at a hot pink wedding. Furthermore, they even shared bridesmaids and had half of the reception decorated in their chosen colours!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The invitations to\ntheir wedding had been designed like a pack of chewing gum, saying they were\n\u201cDoublemeant to be together\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Sisters Brittany And Briana And Brothers Josh And Jeremy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A more recent\nexample is the marriage of Brittany and Briana Deane to Josh and Jeremy Salyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The wedding ceremony might seem a little comical. The two sets of twins were married in a fairy tale double ceremony in Twinsburg Ohio at a twin festival in 2018!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both brides were wearing matching wedding dresses and the ceremony was officiated by twin ministers, of course! They named the event \u201cTwice Upon a Time\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/images.theweddingsecret.co.uk\/magazine\/inspire-me\/twins-who-marry-twins\/sharon-mccutcheon-519786-unsplash.jpg\" alt=\"Twins who marry twins\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The twins had met at the same festival the previous year, so it was the perfect momento. The girls had been visiting for years, but it was the first one for the boys. They say they met in the evening of the final day and did not stop talking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brittany and Briana had always wanted to marry twins so that someone would understand the bond that they had for each other. Unbeknownst to them, so did Josh and Jeremy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The brothers proposed to the sisters together, at the same time on the\nsame day &#8211; February 2<sup>nd<\/sup>. They said they chose this because it\nabbreviated to 2\/2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/images.theweddingsecret.co.uk\/magazine\/inspire-me\/real-weddings\/Twins%20who%20married%20twins\/twins-who-married-twins-02.jpg\" alt=\"Twins who marry twins\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The sisters have identical tastes, as a result they wear the same clothing and style their hair the same. But, they are keen to emphasise that they&#8217;re very much different people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As married couples, they plan to live and raise their families in the same house. They have starred in several television specials and hope to do more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Keyolla And Teyolla And Eric And Shawn<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Having undergone a difficult childhood, the Loux\ntwins were the closest sisters could be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/images.theweddingsecret.co.uk\/magazine\/inspire-me\/twins-who-marry-twins\/rose-elena-1148812-unsplash.jpg\" alt=\"Twins who marry twins\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They had grown up with seven other siblings and a single mum in the Marshall Islands. After moving live with an American missionary couple, they were eventually adopted by the couple\u2019s daughter, Renee. They started their new life with the Loux family in Indianapolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the death of their new father, the sisters sought solace in the church where he had been a minister. It was here when they were sixteen years old that they spotted another set of twins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/images.theweddingsecret.co.uk\/magazine\/inspire-me\/twins-who-marry-twins\/attractive-beautiful-beautiful-girls-1906172.jpg\" alt=\"Twins who marry twins\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Although meeting twenty one year olds Eric and Shawn had been exactly what the girls needed, their paths didn\u2019t cross again until three years later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the earthquake in Haiti, both sets of twins\nvolunteered to help with their local church. When the trip got cancelled, Eric\ntook this as a sign to ask Keyolla out for coffee. She invited her sister, and\nhe invited her brother, and all four of them talked until the early hours of\nthe morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The boys proposed to their respective girlfriends\non 26<sup>th<\/sup> January 2011, and immediately the sisters decided they\nwanted to share their wedding day with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/images.theweddingsecret.co.uk\/magazine\/inspire-me\/twins-who-marry-twins\/business-businessmen-career-6805.jpg\" alt=\"Twins who marry twins\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They had one colour scheme and one cake and walked down the aisle one after the other with both their birth mum and the mother who had raised them in America. Apparently Keyolla\u2019s only regret was that her sister didn\u2019t get to watch her say her vows, as she was standing outside ready to say her own!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Are you a twin?
