History Known originally as 'The Laughing Water Restaurant And Tea Rooms' at the time of its inception in the 1930s, the property incorporated a boating lake and a swimming pool as a leisure getaway. During WWII, the house accommodated heroic pilots from local RAF Gravesend. Unfortunately, some time after the cessation of hostilities, the original building was lost to a fire. Thankfully the house was reconstructed by the current owners in the 1990s. The Inn On The Lake has faithfully served brides, grooms and guests for over two decades, meanwhile gathering a wealth of experience together with its well-earned reputation.
