Secluded, nestled away from busy roads or other such modern distractions, you are free to enjoy the romance of your wedding celebrations in the unbroken, unspoilt beauty of the Test Valley.

Now licensed for civil ceremonies, you and your guests can also enjoy a relaxed wedding breakfast within a customisable marquee, and then continue celebrating late on into the evening with all the creature comforts of the modern age, whilst appreciating the sublime serenity of an era long past.

Built originally in 1865 as part of the London and South Western Railway, the station platform and its tracks were once a valuable contributory element in Britain's principal transportation system, before the gradual decline of the railway network after the war.

Devotedly renovated in 1989, the station is preserved as a living testament to its former heritage, and supported by the presence of a 1922 railway carriage and accompanying memorabilia which you and all your guests are free to wander around and examine.

Civil Ceremonies

Licensed for civil ceremonies, you and your fiancée have the unique opportunity to tie the knot at this beautiful and unique venue. Get married on either Platform 1 or Platform 2, giving your ceremony a stunning vintage backdrop. There's also an Observation Carriage available for your guests in case of inclement weather!

The Marquee

The permanently erected marquee can accommodate up to 100 guests whilst retaining enough space for a dancefloor, plus a bar and serving area. Hanging chandeliers dim to match the mood of the occasion, and the hanging ivory drapes can be adorned with whatever decorations you have picked out for your special day.

Close and quiet, the delightful gardens branching away from the marquee and platform are accessible to all guests, showcasing the restored vintage railway carriage and sundry related items.
