About This Grade II listed manor house dates back to the 17th century when it was originally built and was known for having a farmhouse on site called 'The Gutterfall'. In 1819 the house was purchased by wealthy brewer Edward Iggulden, who improved the grounds greatly by introducing the scenic landscape including the pleasure grounds. Later in 1980, the house and parts of the grounds were purchased by the community of St Peter and St Paul who gifted the estate, which was turned into a conference centre the following year.
