This Grade II-listed Jacobean manor house near Alton in Hampshire offers wedding parties exclusive use and the freedom to enjoy its majestic interiors as well as 80 acres of beautiful rural parkland, meanwhile feeling comfortably cocooned from the world around.

Boasting two rooms licensed to host civil wedding ceremonies, an outside Dome and the Great Hall showcasing a magnificent sweeping staircase, plus the grand Ballroom with its splendrous chandeliers, perfect for your wedding breakfast, the manor offers every facility for a truly regal occasion. Strutting peacocks even patrol the ground! For overnight accommodation, with fourteen extravagant self-contained suites within the manor, Froyle Park ensures that their luxurious services continue until the next day.

History

In the Domesday Book of 1086, Froyle Park is recorded to have been a royal estate during the reign of Edward the Confessor. William the Conqueror later offered the manor to the nuns of St Mary's Abbey. The current manor house was built in 1620, on a site of an old monastery that had been dissolved in Henry VIII's Reformation. It has maintained the ambience of a grand manor estate, with stunning architecture typical of its period and antique furnishings representing the four centuries since its construction.

Outdoor Pagoda

Bride and groom are instantly the centrepiece of their ceremony under Froyle Park's Pagoda. With the facility to accommodate up to 240 surrounding seated guests, the elevated dome can be embellished as you wish and offers a magical ceremony setting.

Great Hall

Dream of descending into your ceremony on a grand staircase? The Great Hall presents this as an alternative to the traditional ceremonial aisle. The room comfortably seats up to 130 people.

Drawing Room

For more intimate ceremonies, couples can choose to marry in the gorgeous drawing room of the manor house, which features typical early 17th-century interior design and can seat 90 people.

St Mary's Church

Separate from the venue but only a stone's throw away from the manor house, St Mary's Church is ideal for couples planning a more traditional wedding. There has been a church on the site for 1000 years, and parts of the current building date back to the 14th century. Admire the quite exquisite Georgian stained glass windows while exchanging your vows, then make your way back to the manor house while the church bells ring out in celebration.

Froyle Park offers three options for a post-ceremony champagne and canapés reception. The Morning Room, The Library or The Reception Hall are all available choices to toast the newlyweds.

Grand Ballroom

The Grand Ballroom, licensed to host civil ceremonies with up to 300 guests, is the perfect venue for wedding breakfasts at Froyle Park, where the regal ambience of the day reaches its pinnacle. The chandeliers and marvellous décor of the room simply ooze magnificence.

The celebrations continue as the Grand Ballroom is transformed for the evening reception party. The well-lit gardens are open to the wedding party throughout the evening, and there is a separate children's playroom and a chill-out area.

27 bedroom suites are contained within the manor which can be exclusively booked on your wedding night for up to 64 guests. A separate luxury honeymoon suite is provided for the newlyweds, and the bride and up to five guests are invited to stay at Froyle Park the night before the wedding to help morning preparations.
