About

The family ties at Elms Barn goes back 150 years and they want to share that heritage with you on your wedding day. The barn was built in 1648 by William Marsh and flaunts itself as a perfect example of traditional English craftsmanship. It now serves as a versatile setting for wedding celebrations, run by the family who are dedicated to providing unique experiences that are tailored to each couple.

Facilities

The Barn

The versatile barn is a perfect example of rural architecture through traditional English craftmanship and combined with elegant décor, it truly provides a magical place to hold your wedding. Licensed for civil ceremonies you can celebrate your nuptials in this splendid barn followed by dancing into the early hours.

Ceremony capacity - 120 guests

Evening capacity - 200 guests

Marquee

For additional space, their marquee and patio offer a delightful area for wedding celebrations. With plenty of space and charming furnishings, including boxed bay trees, a patio and a pond, you and your guests will not be of space. Or if you need to recharge before you hit the dance floor, it's an excellent setting to relax and sip on some champagne. The marquee was cleverly designed to blend in with the elegance and rural architecture of the barn itself and as it is fixed it provides the perfect spot for wedding drinks, canapes and evening receptions.

The Gardens

There is no doubt your photographer will be leading you out to the garden to snap you and your loved one with the quintessential English countryside as your backdrop. No matter the season you are promised truly beautiful scenery, with an enchanting walled garden in the centre and a rose walk that may bring to mind the first time your partner bought you a rose. Beyond there is a moat, ponds and a lawn that is home to so much wildlife, plants and flowers. A space for moments of tranquillity or drinks, canapes and barbeques.

Catering

Using only the finest of Norfolk and Suffolk produce, your wedding food is promised to leave a lasting impression. Elms Barn's executive head chef and team also lead the kitchen at the Swan in Loddon, Elms' sister AA rosette restaurant and pub.
