Creeksea Place is a magnificent Tudor mansion. Its 16th-century façade, tranquil and serene walled garden, orchard and natural lakes make for the perfect fairy-tale wedding. It is situated in the waterside town of Burnham-on-Crouch. Easily accessible via road, it's found just 50 minutes from the Dartford Tunnel on the M25, can be found via boat thanks to nearby berthing facilities, and also has facilities for a helicopter landing with prior arrangement.

This private family home provides exclusive-use with event and venue managers, award-winning banqueting professionals and a chef who will all make sure your day is as dreamy as you have imagined. The team at Creeksea even go as far as illuminating the house at dusk with spotlights and candles creating an enchanting atmosphere for your celebrations.


Creeksea Place was originally built in 1569 and has been in the Bertorelli family since 1947. Managing Director, Christina Bertorelli, aims to provide flexibility to tailor the day to your individual requirements and budget strongly believing in their motto that 'Creeksea Place guarantees you memories that will last a lifetime.'


Venue fees differ depending on your chosen day of the week and which facilities you would like available to you on the day but includes exclusive use of all rooms, a welcome team, red carpet entrance, seating, dedicated venue manager and team, waiting staff, events coordinator and amenities such as tables, chairs, glassware etc.

Walled Garden

The lovely and picturesque garden features traditional red-brick walls, magnolia trees, white roses and shrubbery with an archway leading to the Orchard. A canopy can be set up as shelter for your guests, and the Walled Gardens are good for a civil ceremony and/or reception drinks.


Access the Orchard via the Walled gardens and stroll past statues located amongst the shrubbery and fruit trees. Here you will find a marble gazebo offering a perfect spot for a woodland ceremony.

The Lawn

On the immaculate lawn outside the house, you have stunning views of the Victorian Bridge and lake, where you can enjoy canapes and a drinks reception if you like.

Regency Room

Inside the house, the Regency Room has plenty of traditional features such as a wooden-beamed ceiling, making it ideal for civil ceremonies for up to 95.

Marquee Wedding

Great for wedding breakfast and evening reception in the summer months, host your formal meal or buffet under a gorgeous provided marquee on the lawn. This option is ideal for larger weddings. Fully furnished with ivory silk lining, swags and tails, carpeted wooden floor, gilt chairs and tables, star lights over the dancefloor, chandeliers, outside canopy and fully stocked bar, this marquee has plenty to offer.

The Music Room and the Oak Panelled Room are also available for smaller gatherings.


Creeksea Place values their in-house caterer highly for reliability, flexibility and exquisite food to ensure a high standard of produce and service.

Their chef will meet with you to design a wedding breakfast menu, welcome canapes and evening buffet with a range of sample menus to inspire. They try to source local produce wherever possible.

Sample Menu

One example menu would be to begin with smoked salmon, baby potato, horseradish and rocket salad with lemon oil followed by a main of roast loin of pork with stuffed baked apple, crisp vegetables in a red wine jus finished off with a warm sticky toffee Pudding coated in a butterscotch sauce and glazed bananas as well as the option of a selection of teas and coffee and homemade chocolate brownies.

They also offer beverage packages such as a classic drinks reception, toasting drinks, table wine for the wedding breakfast.
