Civil engineer Luke Hasell and events coordinator Scott Fearn first met during 2007, when they were organising interdependent aspects of a charity music festival in the Chew Valley Lake area. Combining the best of their abilities, they went on to establish their own company 'Tipi Events', which hires out and even produces to order bespoke, traditionally-inspired tipis on request. The company uses the current site, on Luke's farm at Herons Green Bay as their HQ and base of operations.
Chew Valley Lake is a large and tranquil expanse of reservoir, and sits beneath the northern fringe of the Mendips below Bristol. This beautifully still water is the fifth largest artificial lake in the UK, and besides supplying much of Bristol and the surrounding region with its essential drinking supplies, provides a calming place to visit for many locals.
