History Broadfield's history runs deep, with its first mention being in the Domesday book. The building became a house of importance in the fourteenth century before being turned into a large farmhouse. The building was restored as a gothic mansion in 1852 and exhibited a range of gargoyles and historic features. Almost 1,000 years later, Broadfield is being introduced to the 21st century with another, more modern restoration. Its unique and long lasting history will now be carried forward by a two-generation family run business.
