Say your vows in the iconic Waterhall room, clink your champagne flutes in the flood lit Round room, complete with ornate domed ceiling followed by partying the night away in the Edwardian Tearooms. This impressive wedding venue can host you and your guests from your "I do's" through to carriages.

History

Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery first opened its doors in 1885. The landmark building is Grade II-listed and is an influential building within the city centre of Birmingham. The art gallery is famous for its Pre-Raphaelite collection of paintings, which is one of the largest in the world.

The building itself is a fine example of Victorian architecture. A grand and formal stone exterior, complete with complicated asymmetrical shapes, steep roofs and textured walls, this building is typical of the architecture seen under Queen Victoria's reign.

By hosting your wedding day at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery you will be contributing to the museums charitable trust. The support from weddings and events generates enough income to deliver educational programmes and take care of the extensive collection housed in the museum, currently reaching over 800,000 items.
