History

In a time gone by, Applewood Hall was part of Grove Farm Orchard, serving as the storage bank for the yearly harvests. Upon realising its wasted potential, the hall was repurposed into a marquee lined events space, with a perfect mix of rustic beauty and natural light, making it a near perfect wedding venue.

Responsible for the seamless operating of this venue is Kiera Goymour, who is also available to work as your wedding planner. With over nine years of experience working in the events industry, she can make sure your wedding day is the occasion you always dreamed it would be.

The Facilities

Applewood Hall

With elegant marquee lining, ambient lighting and neutral tones, Applewood's main hall is a ornate canvas waiting for you to leave an impression upon it. Make this space your own, for the perfect wedding day.

Wedding breakfast capacity - 200 guests

Standing capacity - 250 guests

The Oak Rooms

Two picturesque little rooms located a short two minute walk from the main hall, The Oak Rooms are ideal for any couple that want an intimate ceremony, where they don't have to worry about inviting anyone and everyone. With oak beams and natural light, the cosy feel of these rooms will help you forget about the outside world, and cherish the memories you make within them.

The Orchard Room

Just off the main Applewood Hall, The Orchard Room is Applewood's newly, purpose built event space. Fitted with colour changing LED lights that provide plenty of atmosphere, and access to the Garden, the Orchard Room is perfect for duo space ceremonies. Say your vows out in the open under the magnificent gazebo, then head inside to officiate the marriage with a registrar.

Catering

Applewood Hall works in conjunction with local caterer Dawn Seager when providing their clients with cuisine for their wedding breakfast.

While it may be that she's local to the venue, that's not the reason Applewood consistently choose Dawn Seager as their caterer of choice. Using her 15 years experience and locally sourced produce to create mouth-watering dishes she rarely fails to impress.

Accommodation

Onsite accommodation is available in the form of the Applewood Countryside Park campsite. There's plenty of space for your guests to pitch a tent so they have a place to relax, unwind, and lay their heads after they've tuckered themselves out. If you're looking for a little more glamour in your accommodation, make use of their delightful glamping options, all within a beautiful setting.

In all her time working in the wedding industry, Kiera has never heard a couple say they want their wedding to be exactly like someone else's they've seen. They may take inspiration from others but want theirs to be unique to them. This is why Applewood offer a completely bespoke package service.
