Weddings in the Wood is centred around a lovely converted Carpenter's Barn as its base. The venue contains all the facilities any wedding celebration might need, both in the day and through the night. There is also a well-equipped semi-permanent marquee.
Licensed to host civil ceremonies, the Carpenter's Barn makes a charming and rustic environment in which to legally get married.
For couples seeking a festival/outdoor feel, then be aware that plenty of brides and grooms celebrating their big day at Weddings in the Wood have held a (non-legally-binding) handfasting ceremony, blessing or humanist wedding al fresco in the grassy glade.
The barn has enough space for up to 100 seated guests to enjoy their meal. Add a further 125 in the semi-permanent marquee, which extends out over the raised wooden deck attached to the main barn - ideal for all weathers, but perfect for when it's sunny.
The main barn has an entertainment licence for live music to be performed until 11pm, and then amplified recorded music up to midnight. You could always go acoustic around the campfire after this though - surely someone will have brought along a guitar!
Weddings in The Wood present their own licensed bar, located just to the side of the main barn. This well-stocked facility features plenty of local ales and beers and a selection of wines and is quite reasonably priced. Experienced bar staff will also be provided.
Games And Activities
Weddings in the Wood supply equipment for a select few games to play on the lawns, including Croquet, giant Jenga and Boules.
There's plenty of parking on site, free of course, and on arrival your guests will be guided to the best places to park by a steward.
