Originally bought by owner Todd in 2006, the luxury campervan known as Mutler arrived dilapidated and worn ragged. However realising this rare beast's potential beauty, Todd toiled over five years in transforming it into the stupendous vehicle seen today.

Seeing the opportunity to share his achievement with wedding couples and party folk, Mutler was released in 2013 for public use. Receiving acclaim for comprehensive rates and bespoke style, Retro Splitty continues to serve and impress to this day.

The Camper

The featured camper, Mutler, is a 23-window RHD Samba, the rarest of all VW camper conversions ever made. Painstakingly but magnificently restored by its owner over a five-year period, Mutler showcases a variety of unique décor. Features include an oak-panelled interior, with a wardrobe, a table, a functioning cooker and more as facilities, alongside a full-length sunroof in which to bathe oneself in sunlight on a pleasant summer's day.

Even going as far as picking up two 'Top Ten' awards in its first year for its stunning appearance and bespoke style, the vehicle has all the credentials to back up its reputation as a unique and attractive choice for specialist wedding transport hire. Ribbons and other exterior decorations can be attached to match your theme, and should be discussed with the owner upon booking.

The Service

For a fixed rate of £400, the vehicle comes with three hours of hire time, beginning at the first pickup point of the day. Included in the overall price, the professional chauffeur, smartly-dressed to match your theme should you wish, will stay with the vehicle at your chosen venue during the ceremony, and will then whisk you off to your next destination for the reception celebrations.

Retro Splitty sets an arbitrary benchmark for distance as within a 40-mile radius from the CO3 postcode area; however, further distances can be negotiated at an additional fee per extra mile. A complimentary champagne hamper is provided for the bride and groom during their journey, and allows for a quick private celebration as a newlywed couple before the day's festivities.
