History

Built in 1776 as a 'mansion house', Hotel Du Vin is an impressive structure. You simply can't miss the grand portico, original stone steps and white classical columns which form the main hotel entrance, standing out brilliantly against the crimson Virginia creeper that covers the façade. The building's maritime past has been lovingly preserved and showcased during refurbishment, with deft little touches such as ship's lanterns to light your way on entering the hotel, or nautically-named rooms like 'Starboard' and 'Port'.

Facilities

Couples are offered a choice of four rooms of varying capacity in which to host their celebration, ensuring they will have a space of the perfect size for their wedding. Alternatively, for really extravagant occasions, the entire hotel can be booked out exclusively.

Starboard

Enormous sash windows make the smallest of these rooms feel light and spacious. With views of the picturesque church gardens and a wonderfully detailed original fireplace, Starboard certainly is a lovely room for hosting an intimate ceremony and reception.

Crow's Nest

The Bistro
